Pastor Steven and Katie Sexton have a contagious passion for God and people. From a young age both felt a strong call to full time ministry. When they met, many of their conversations centered around what God was calling them to do in the future. They both dreamed of a church that both loved God and people unconditionally, yet also spoke truth.

 

After serving on staff at Christian Ministries Church and Brookhill Ranch Summer Camp for 20 years, Pastor Steven and Katie started Be the One Ministries, Inc. in 2012 where they spent their time traveling. They loved equipping young people and church leaders across the country and in Belize. One day, Pastor Steven came home after being on the road and told Katie that he believed God spoke to him to move to Rogers and plant a church. They both committed the idea to prayer and believed that it was God’s will for them to proceed. That is when they began the journey with the ARC church planting organization and began to train to start a church in Northwest Arkansas. They packed up their family of six and moved to NWA with a few team members and lots of vision. Since the beginning, The House has been helping people meet the Father, accept forgiveness, find freedom, and fuel purpose.
