This story has been forty years in the making as Steven Sexton was adopted from a foster home at 6 months old. At the age of seven, his adopted parents went through a divorce. Steven also struggled in academics, graduating high school three months away from turning twenty. Throughout these challenges the church played a vital role in helping him recognize the calling on his life to lead.

In 1995 Steven moved to Hot Springs, AR for a season of maturity and training. He attended Applied Life Christian College, became the camp director of Brookhill Ranch Summer Camp, was instrumental in building High Point Leadership Camp and pastored over youth and families at Christian Ministries Church.

In 2012 Steven and Katie launched Be the One Ministries. With the heart to see authentic transformation, the ministry has grown and is impacting thousands. However from the time Steven and Katie were dating as young adults they have been dreaming about The House. A church where people were both loved and taught.

Steven Sexton has been in ministry for over twenty years and can easily be described as purposeful, passionate, and fun. He has served as camp director, youth, family, and worship pastor, written two books, and pioneered Be the One Ministries. As the President of Be the One Ministries he has travelled extensively training, consulting, and encouraging other leaders. He continues to speak at conferences and host outreach teams. His love for the Body of Christ has spurred the desire to plant a church in Rogers, AR, called The House. He is married to the love of his life and has four children.

Katie Sexton’s passions include her family, the Body of Christ, prayer, the value of life and coffee. She began mentoring girls at sixteen and is called to encourage and challenge women to fulfill their God-given purpose. At her core she is a homemaker, loves to write, and is passionate about missions.

At The House you can expect to be welcomed, loved, and taught. Our weekend service provides an opportunity to connect with God and other believers. They include contemporary worship a relevant biblical based message and a time of ministry and prayer. Our heart is that you feel right at home in our fun and casual atmosphere. We offer quality children’s ministry, 3 months through 5th grade.

Don’t do life alone. Everyone needs connection. At The House, our desire is for life giving relationships to happen as we grow the church. If you are ready to connect, so are we. Fill out our connect card, meet our staff, and get plugged into one of our life groups.

At the House, our goal is to produce a culture where people are loved and taught, where spiritual growth happens, and where lives are transformed. One of the ways we see this happen is by seeing those who have connected with us move through Framework. Framework is three different meetings that will help you understand more about the DNA of The House.

Build 301 is an extension of framework. In this third meeting, you will learn how to be a vital part of carrying, serving, and leading the vision. Our desire is to provide an opportunity for you to touch ministry. Don’t miss our next Build 301 meeting.
